Alyssa C. MagesAlyssa C. Mages Chief Visionary Officer (CVO)/Co-Founder, Empowering Veterinary Teams® (EVT)As CVO of Empowering Veterinary Teams® (EVT), Alyssa leads content development, clinical training, and the overall strategic direction. With a BS in Marine Biology and an AS in Veterinary Technology, she is a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) who has spent over 20 years in the veterinary profession. She is an inaugural Fellow of the Association of Veterinary Technician Educators (AVTE), underscoring her dedication to education in the field. Alyssa also serves as the Director of MentorVet Tech, co-founder of both nûrtûr and the nonprofit Project Sticker, and as an advisor for BlendVet and several veterinary technology programs. As a Key Opinion Leader and speaker, she collaborates with industry providers and has presented at national conferences, co-authored a book, and contributed to various publications and podcasts. Alyssa is passionate about inclusivity and empowering all voices within veterinary medicine to help strengthen the profession.

Julie Bulman-FlemingJulie Bulman-Fleming National Specialty Director of Oncology, Veterinary Cancer Group, Thrive Pet HealthcareBorn in Vancouver, British Columbia, Dr. Julie Bulman-Fleming earned her bachelor's degree in animal biology from the University of British Columbia. She went on to pursue her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan, where she discovered her passion for oncology. Graduating with great distinction, she then completed an internship in small animal medicine, surgery, and critical care at the Ontario Veterinary College before returning to the West Coast. In 2008, Dr. Bulman-Fleming joined Veterinary Cancer Group in Southern California, where she completed her residency in medical oncology in 2011. She currently serves as Medical Director and ACVIM Residency Program Director at Veterinary Cancer Group, and also holds the role of National Specialty Director of Oncology for Thrive Pet Healthcare. Her professional interests include teaching and mentorship, client education, palliative care, and exploring the role of the immune system in cancer development and treatment. Outside of her veterinary work, Dr. Bulman-Fleming enjoys circus arts, loves cats, and loves traveling with her young family.

Deborah S. GrecoDeborah S. Greco Veterinary Endocrinologist & Internal Medicine Specialist, Animal SamaritansAfter receiving her DVM from the University of California, Davis and a PhD in Veterinary Pharmacology from Texas A&M University, Dr. Greco joined the faculty of Colorado State University for 12 years. After being promoted to full professor, she went to the Animal Medical Center in NYC for several years before taking a position at Nestlé PURINA in the Global Scientific Communications team. Dr Greco has authored over 200 scientific articles and book chapters and is considered an authority in the area of small animal endocrinology.

Shadi IreifejShadi Ireifej Owner, Chief Veterinary Officer, VetTriageDr. Ireifej’s love for surgery began before veterinary school, during veterinary volunteer and work positions, then grew during his undergraduate and veterinary education. Shadi J. Ireifej DVM DACVS attended Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine where he received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree (2006, DVM). After completing his studies at Cornell, Dr. Ireifej completed a one-year small animal medicine and surgery rotating internship at Angel Animal Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts (2007), followed by two one-year small animal surgical internships at Long Island Veterinary Specialists (LIVS) in Plainview, New York (2009). Dr. Ireifej achieved his board certification in small animal surgery by completing a three-year small animal surgery residency at LIVS (2012), becoming a Diplomat for the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (DACVS). After operating for almost 10 years at LIVS, Dr. Ireifej elected for warmer weather, and transplanted to Las Vegas, Nevada in 2016. Dr. Ireifej then operated in numerous multispecialty and emergency veterinary hospitals across the United States, as both a surgeon, hospital owner and department head of emergency/critical care as well as multiple specialties. In 2018, Dr. Ireifej changed gears in his career, creating a novel and state-of-the-art means of reaching concerned pet owners and their ailing pets worldwide, VetTriage. Dr. Ireifej currently serves as the Chief Medical Officer. His main three goals with his career and the VetTriage platform is (1) spearhead the movement with veterinary telehealth, (2) improve the access and spectrum of care by providing concerned pet owners a convenient and affordable means of seeking veterinary advice, and (3) to aid colleagues in brick and mortar who have been suffering from veterinary shortages, staff shortages, long work hours, mental health concerns, and so many other contributors to work-life imbalance and a poor quality of life inside and outside the clinic. Shadi has been published in scientific and medical journals and enjoys lecturing to a variety of audiences. He is known for being a positive force and energetic force, both professionally and personally. He has since been featured on numerous media outlets including television, podcasts, radio, articles, and conferences. Dr. Ireifej is frequently sought after for giving in-person and virtual talks on the current state of veterinary medicine, the current and future paths of veterinary telehealth and how to empower up-and-coming veterinary professionals so that they have the tools necessary for a successful and rewarding career.

Rachel StarrRachel Starr Owner/ Veterinarian, Pets and Their People, Inc.Rachel Starr, DVM graduated from Michigan State University, College of Veterinary Medicine, in 2000. She began her work as a veterinarian as a mixed animal practitioner in rural Ohio and then as a shelter veterinarian in Columbus, OH. She moved back to Michigan in 2005 and became a small animal veterinarian in the Traverse City area. After an initial interest in surgery, she began to explore alternative therapies, learning Veterinary Orthopedic Manipulation in 2010, and adding laser therapy in 2011. She also took an introductory course in Nutrition Response Testing in 2011. After starting to incorporate Nutrition Response Testing into veterinary practice, she decided to pursue Advanced Clinic Training and graduated from that program in 2018. After practicing in two small animal clinics in Northern Michigan for 18 years, where she specialized in non-invasive, non-pharmaceutical holistic therapies, she opened her own specialized clinic in May 2024 - Pets and Their People, Inc. - Nutrition and Laser Therapy Center.

Jenna Workman StocklerJenna Workman Stockler Assistant Clinical Professor, Auburn University College of Veterinary MedicineDr. Stockler received her DVM from Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. She completed a one-year rotating internship at MSU-CVM where she participated in both clinical and ambulatory duties. Dr. Stockler worked on a large dairy in California and participated in a cow-cooling researching project with UC Davis, before returning to the southeast. She completed a 3-year internal medicine residency in 2019 and is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor within the Food Animal Hospital.
