Oct 17, 2026
Reno Clinical Theater
Ophthalmology

This lecture with Dr. Lembo will discuss diseases affecting the anterior segment of the eye, including uveitis, uveal tumors, hyphema and iris hemorrhage, congenital abnormalities and other incidental ocular exam findings involving the iris. Identification, ocular exam interpretation, diagnostic testing and management of such diseases will be reviewed. This lecture will help to demystify what the practitioner is noting on their eye exam, promote confidence in choosing diagnostic testing and medications, and aid in client communication and expectations. Following this lecture, attendees will have a stronger sense of when to retain case management and when to encourage referrals.

  • Identify hallmark lesions related to diseases of the anterior segment
  • Interpret these signs in combination with ocular diagnostics
  • Learn to develop a reasonable differential list to help focus in on appropriate diagnostic testing recommendations
