This session will start with the current state of CBD then provide a history leading up to today. An extensive discussion of important terminology will be presented. An overview of the endocannabinoid system, the most extensive receptor system in the body, will then be discussed. Pertinent human and animal data, along with case descriptions will be presented.
By the end of the session, participants should be able to:
- Discuss the 2000 year history of cannabis medicine
- Understand the important terms and definitions related to hemp based CBD
- Recount the important aspects of the endocannabinoid system regarding animals and pain
- Be able to apply presented examples to clinical case
