The pressure technicians are under to provide diagnostic images can be underestimated when considering the variability of training and experience among a veterinary care team. The technician must be able to assess what "normal" looks like when evaluating a positioning artifact or pathology. Muscle memory and calm confidence is paramount in the radiology room and this is best achieved with consistent training and repetition. This presentation will provide examples of common artifacts and how to assess when an image is considered "straight" and how to correct it.
