Pruritic cats can be very frustrating to workup and evaluate. We will first discuss some of the diseases which can easily be misidentified as allergies to rule them out. Next we will move onto allergies in cats including flea allergy dermatitis, adverse food reaction and feline atopic skin syndrome including diagnosis and treatment options.
