Dr. Mayo is a 1994 graduate of Oregon State University, and opened his first practice in Lynwood, Washington in 1995. He devoted much of his practice time to learning new procedures in rigid endoscopy, orthopedics and RF Radiosurgery. Opening his own motile surgical practice, Mayo Veterinary Services, in early 2006, with an emphasis on orthopedics and general surgery, regenerative medicine and alternative sterilization.
