VDI Laboratory is a specialty veterinary diagnostic laboratory focused on providing practical, clinically relevant testing that helps veterinarians better understand complex cases and make more informed treatment decisions. A growing area of focus for VDI is gastrointestinal health, including advanced microbiome testing designed to provide a more complete picture of the bacterial and fungal communities within the GI tract. Rather than looking at the microbiome in isolation, VDI approaches GI disease as a multifactorial process—integrating microbiome findings with the patient’s clinical history, diet, environment, and other diagnostic information to help veterinarians identify meaningful patterns and potential next steps. VDI’s work extends well beyond gastrointestinal disease. Our specialty testing portfolio is designed to address areas where conventional diagnostics may not provide the complete clinical picture, giving veterinarians additional tools to investigate challenging or chronic cases.
